With regard to client codes, you will have the following options:
1. Change the Configurations to Generate the Code Automatically
3. Assign an Alphanumeric Code
To change the long codes generated by the system, follow these steps:
1. Change the Configurations
Then click on Save.
2. Change the Codes Manually
In the Point of Sale, you can add or create a new client, then edit their profile by clicking the blue pencil icon next to the Client name.
Select them, change the Code and click on Save.
Change the Option back to Automatically generate codes in clients. Click on Configurations > Configurations.
Then click on Save.
3. Assign an Alphanumeric Code
If you encounter a problem related to the existence of identical client codes, you can change the client's numeric code to an alphanumeric code, which makes it easier to differentiate and locate them. This change has no impact on the functioning of the system or on existing data. Therefore, yes, if a client code is a duplicate, it can be changed without restriction. This practice contributes to better organization and management of client records.
This mechanism, which uses an alphanumeric code, makes it easier to search for your business customers than using the phone.
For example: the numeric code “4548787878” vs. “MUC”: Montreal Urban Community.
To make this change, click Clients > Clients and search for the clients whose code you want to change.
In the Info tab, change the Code and click Save.
