1. Entering Connection Data
To start with, you need to enter your ProgiSync connection information in the API section of GEM-CAR's Configurations menu. To do this, simply go to Configurations > Configurations.
Then click on the API tab. Scroll down to find the section dedicated to ProgiSync. Next, after entering your connection information, you can run a connection test to check the validity of your information.
If they're correct, after pressing the Test Connection button, you'll get a message saying “Connection with ProgiSync has been successfully established”.
Otherwise, you'll get “Connection with ProgiSync couldn't be established. Please check your credentials and try again”.
Once the information has been validated, you can save it by pressing the Save button.
2. Environment Configuration
Once you've confirmed the validity of your connection informations, you can configure your environment to import and link branches, business hours and ProgiSync users to your GEM-CAR environment. To do this, simply press the blue button containing a small gear.
If you receive an error indicating that it is impossible to connect to the ProgiSync servers, this means one of two things:
Your connection details are incorrect
You haven't saved your connection information after entering it.
However, if all is well, a screen containing the following message should appear: “Here you can select your preferred supplier, the opening hours to be imported, as well as your branch and the users to be imported. This configuration can be redone if a mistake has been made.” On this screen, it is also possible to select the supplier.
3. Supplier Selection
To begin with, the environment configuration requires you to associate a ProgiSync supplier with your GEM-CAR branch. To see the list of suppliers associated with your login, simply click on the drop-down list. Once you've selected a supplier from the list, a section will appear displaying the supplier's schedule on the left, and the GEM-CAR schedule on the right.
4. Schedule
To ensure the compatibility between the appointments you schedule using GEM-CAR and those you schedule using ProgiSync, you need to make sure that the two schedules are identical, so that there are no scheduling conflicts. To do this, before proceeding, you must accept that your GEM-CAR branch schedule will be modified to match the one proposed by the selected supplier.
