GEM-WORK offers you a way to protect yourself from legal action. Once the estimate is complete, send it to a client and wait for it to be approved before starting any other work.
To protect yourself, the estimate, work order, and invoice must all be signed. Here's how to obtain a signature for your estimate.
First, your quote must be uploaded as a PDF file in the Documents tab.
Then click on the Ask for a signature box.
A window will open, allowing you to choose between requesting an electronic signature or having the client sign immediately on a connected pad.
Note: Before sending the PDF, make sure you have checked the options “Include a space for the customer's signature in the quote” and “Include a space for the customer's signature in the invoice” in Sales > Configurations > Configurations to have a signature location pre-selected by the system.
Click on electronic signature, a page will open allowing you to enter the recipient's email address if there isn't already one in the client's file. The quote approval will be in PDF format as an attachment. Click Send.
GEM-WORK will then allow you to continue your operations while you wait to receive the signed PDF. When you receive it, you will see a notification on the home screen indicating that it has been signed.
In accordance with the color code shown at the bottom of the screen, your signed quote will appear in green.
