You can always edit a closed fiscal year! Just like with a period, you can click the small trash can icon next to the closed year to reopen it. Make the necessary changes, and then close the year again by following the steps for closing a fiscal year.
Your data will never be lost when you close a fiscal year. Some accounting software deletes data from closed fiscal years. GEM-BOOKS does not delete data from your closed fiscal year. You can always modify or view it later.
