Configure Nuvei Till Payments - Payments with a Credit Card

To use this payment solution, the client must go through Nuvei. In fact, it is only Nuvei that has the capacity to add client to our list of merchants. Once the merchant has been added by Nuvei, it is possible to retrieve the necessary information to configure them in GEM-BOOKS:

 

Virtual Terminal Registration to Authorize Payment by Email: the Nuvei Option

Nuvei offers a virtual terminal to enable payment by email. Here's the Nuvei website for more information. At the time of writing this FAQ article, subscription is $20/month and card fees are 2.95% for this service. To subscribe, please send an email to VAS_agents@nuvei.com. Here's the information to include in the email for all virtual terminal connection requests:

  • Preferred language
  • Company name
  • Contact name
  • Contact email
  • Contact phone number
  • Company province/state
  • Current card terminal (Y/N) 
  • Virtual terminal (Y/N) 
  • GEM-CAR version used 
  • Best time to contact 
  • Remarks

Nuvei/Till Payments is an interesting solution for accepting credit cards to pay your clients' invoices on GEM-BOOKS. 

 

How to Configure Nuvei/Till Payments 

Click on the Configurations > Configurations menu.

Then click on API > Merchant Accounts > +New.

Choose Nuvei/Till Payments as your payment Processor. Complete the form using the information provided by your payment processor:

  • Merchant ID
  • Secret key
  • Account number

Then click on Save and Close.

 

NOTE: APIs will be supported until March 2027. As part of the evolution of our services and to maintain the performance, security, and compliance of credit card payment integrations, a management fee will now be applied.

This fee covers, in particular:

  • the maintenance and updating of integrations with payment providers (APIs)
  • transaction security and compliance with current standards
  • the continuous improvement of payment-related features

As such, a management fee equivalent to 0.5% of transactions will be added to your subscription for the use of these services. We remain committed to providing you with reliable, high-performance solutions tailored to your business needs. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Why is this integration no longer available?

After analyzing the various payment solutions available on the market, we decided to focus our integrations on Stripe in order to offer a simpler, more flexible, and more cost-effective solution for our customers.

 

Which payment solution is now supported?

Today, Stripe is the only payment solution integrated with our platform:

  • by email
  • by text message (SMS)
  • online
  • by manually entering the card
  • via a compatible credit card terminal

 

Why did we choose Stripe?

Stripe is currently the only provider committed to offering:

  • a flat rate, regardless of:
    • the type of card
    • reward cards
    • whether the card is present or not
  • no long-term commitment
  • no monthly fees
  • Open an account in 5 minutes

This allows us to offer a transparent, simple, and predictable solution for merchants.

 

Can I get a payment terminal?

Yes. Depending on your eligibility, you may qualify for a free terminal.
