Time tracking allows employees to see which jobs have been started and how much time was needed to complete the work. It also helps the employer pay for the services or hours worked.
There are two ways to access the Time Control menu:
- From the Point of Sale
- From the Dashboard
1. From the Point of Sale
To begin, open the Point of Sale, select the customer and the service you will do, then click on Time Control next to the F12 Exit button.
The following window will display the details of the service, customer, and vehicle. Under the Actions column, there is a blue button with a clock icon inside. To start the Time Control, click once on this button.
A blue line will automatically appear, showing the time, the service, and the vehicle details.
On the left-hand side, you can review the most recent services and the time it took to complete them.
To see more details and the exact time spent on a service, click on Log, next to the Work Order button.
The following window will show information such as the date, start time, and end time for each service. This information is useful to the employer to pay the services or hours worked.
2. From the Dashboard
When you are on the Dashboard, select the green Time Control button.
Once you are inside the module, make sure that your name or the name of the work bay you are using appears in the Assigned to/Jobs section. You will then see the list of customers/appointments assigned to you, and at the end of that list, you will find the blue button with a clock icon inside. Simply press this button when you want to begin the work associated with that line. Once the work is finished, you can either press the blue button again or click Stop Punch.
