Cancel Payments on Closed Invoices

This feature allows you to cancel a payment made on an invoice that has already been closed directly from the invoice payment window. This option is useful for correcting a payment error or adjusting a transaction as needed. Here are the steps to use the cancellation button in GEM-CAR: open the Point of Sale, then click the blue magnifying glass to find the invoice you want to cancel.

Select the invoice, then click Payment in the lower-right corner of the Point of Sale terminal.

In the payment window, click the red trash can, located between the Send and Save money with Stripe buttons.

In the confirmation window displaying the message “Are you sure you want to cancel this payment? The amount will be added to the customer’s receivables,” click Yes or No.

Once the cancellation is complete, the payment amount is automatically returned to the customer’s receivables.
