The Serial Number/VIN Decoder is a tool that allows you to identify several pieces of information about a vehicle using the serial number. In the Point of Sale, once you have selected a client, if you want to edit or view information about the vehicle, click the blue pencil icon next to the vehicle's name.
In a vehicle's file, if you enter the serial number of a vehicle and it is valid, you will see several fields automatically completed using the information returned by the VIN Decoder. You will notice that whether it's in the vehicle's list or in a selected file, the serial number will be green when it is valid.
The system will decode the serial number in order to fill in the following fields: type, year, make, model, doors and displacement.
