In order to perform inspections, maintenance, or any other work on a vehicle, it must first be entered into the database.
In the Point of Sale, after selecting the client, if you want to edit or view vehicle information, click the blue pencil icon next to the Vehicle name.
To view the list of vehicles, in the main menu located on the left side of the application, click on Vehicles > Vehicles and select the vehicle you are interested in.
You will then be able to view all information about it and even update it. Enter the information about the Vehicle if it is incomplete. For example, you could add the vehicle's model if it is not specified.
If you want to add a new vehicle, click on the +Add button located at the bottom of the page before selecting the vehicle.
Serial Number
By default, you will see that the Serial Number field is selected. This field is used to enter the vehicle’s serial number, because if you have this information, most fields such as type, make, model, year, etc., will be automatically filled in for you.
If you do not have this number, you can still choose the fields manually. First, you will need to select the type of vehicle as well as the year — this will allow the system to filter the make and model fields to those that were produced for the selected year and vehicle type (*if any makes/models are missing, you can go add them in your garage module settings).
Type of Vehicle
You will also notice that the menu changes, depending on the selected Type of vehicle.
Features
In the Features tab of the record, you can check the options available on the vehicle. This allows you to add information that is not present on the main record, according to your needs. Once saved, the vehicle will be usable in the various functions of the Vehicle module.
