To activate the mandatory VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) option, it is essential to understand its role in the vehicles' identification and security. Enabling this option in your GEM-CAR ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and enhances traceability in vehicle systems.
To do this, click on the menu on the left Vehicles > Configurations > Configurations.
In the next window, check the option VIN required in vehicle's file. Click on Save.
In the Point of Sale, after selecting the client, if you want to edit or view vehicle information, click the blue pencil icon next to the Vehicle name.
When you open the file, on the Info tab, you will see a red exclamation point next to the VIN question mark. This means that this information is now mandatory before saving the file.
If you uncheck the option, the exclamation point disappears and the information is no longer required.
