Deactivate or Delete the Link Between a Vehicle and the Current Owner

To remove or deactivate the link between a vehicle and its current owner there are steps that must be taken. If a vehicle owner is changing, for example, after it was sold, the client associated with the vehicle needs to be changed in your GEM-CAR.

From the Point of Sale, click on Vehicle (in blue over the text box).

You could also access it from the left main menu: Vehicles > Vehicles and select the vehicle from the list.

There are two options to disassociate a vehicle and a client:

• to delete the link between a client and a vehicle if you do not know you the new owner is, you could simply make the vehicle Inactive.

• if you know the new owner, modify the client attached to the file. Click the X located on the right from the client's name. 

• add another client to the vehicle's file by clicking the magnifying glass and then, selecting one or creating a +New one.
