Send an Invoice to Two Contacts of the Same Client

In some cases, you will need to send an invoice or quote to two contacts of the same client automatically from GEM-BOOKS. To do this, in the client file, you will need to define a primary contact and another contact in the “Contacts associated with this client” section.

NOTE: The mode of this client's file must be Company in order to add Contacts associated with this client.

Click on Clients > Clients and select the one you want to change.

In the Contacts associated with this client section, you will add contacts using the +New button.

Fill in the fields: Name, Newsletter (yes or no, include the contact in the newsletter), Title, Department (if applicable), Email, Phone (if applicable), Cell (if applicable), Fax (if applicable).

For the “Type” field:

  1. Accounting (main): for the main accounting contact.
  2. Accounting: for the other accounting contact.

With this configuration, emails sent for invoices and quotes for this client will be as follows:

The email will be sent:

  • To: main accounting contact
  • CC: Other accounting contact

Note: If a client has multiple contacts of the same “type,” the system will consider the first one on the list.
