Configure the Google Analytics (GA4) Tracking Code

To enable Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tracking in GEM-FNI, you must add your GA4 Measurement ID to the system settings. Once configured, visitor activity on your website can be tracked in your Google Analytics account. Make sure you have:

  • A Google Analytics 4 property.
  • Your Measurement ID (format: G-XXXXXXXXXX).

You can find your Measurement ID in Google Analytics by going to: Admin > Data Streams > select your website > Measurement ID.

Configure the GA4 Tracking Code

In GEM-FNI, click Website > Configurations > Configurations.

Next, in the Website tab, enter your Google Analytics (GA4) tracking code (for example, G-ABC123DEF4). Click Save.

After saving the tracking code: open your website in a web browser, navigate through a few pages, in Google Analytics, go to Reports or Realtime. Confirm that your visit appears in the Realtime report within a few minutes.

Notes:

  • Only GA4 Measurement IDs (beginning with G-) are supported.
  • Ensure the Measurement ID is entered exactly as provided by Google Analytics.
  • Data may take a few minutes to appear in Realtime reports and up to 24 hours in standard reports.
  • If no data is collected, verify that:
    • The Measurement ID is correct.
    • The website has been published with the latest configuration.
    • Browser extensions or consent settings are not blocking Analytics.

Result: Once the Measurement ID is configured and saved, GEM-FNI will send website traffic data to your Google Analytics 4 property, allowing you to monitor visitor activity, page views, and other analytics metrics.
