Let’s now go to the Users tab, which shows the list of all users authorized to access the company’s data. These users can include internal human resources, freelancers, external collaborators, or client/supplier contacts. Click the arrow next to the company name in the top right corner, then select Account Management.
Under Users, you’ll see a table displaying the following information:
- User Code
- Name
- User Type
- Role
- Last Access
In this section, you have the ability to create a new user using the New button, or to modify the role of an existing user.
Creating a new user access
Once you click the New button, a window will open asking what type of user you want to grant access to. You can choose from: a Client, a Supplier, or a Human Resource.
For this example, we’ll select Human Resource. You’ll then have to choose from the list of existing resources within your company, or create a new one using the + icon next to the suggestion field. Once the individual is selected, you’ll be able to fill out the required fields prompted by GEM-CAR.
After completing the form, just click Save and Send an Email.
Modifying access for an existing user
To do this, select the user whose access you want to modify and click on their entry. A window like the following will appear:
You’ll be able to:
- Enable two-factor authentication
- Modify the email address
- Change the user code
- Update the user role (only for Human Resources)
- Resend access by email
- Revoke access using the red trash bin
Don’t forget to click Save after making changes to user records.
