Modify the Fields in "View-only" Mode

Some fields appear in a faded color, meaning that they are in “view-only” mode.

In GEM-CAR, a user’s ability to modify specific fields is determined by the permissions granted by the system administrator. These permissions vary from one user to another and are defined based on several factors—primarily the nature of the user’s role within the organization, internal or external.

The system administrator can configure each user’s profile in GEM-CAR to precisely define what the user is allowed to view in each window across the various modules. The administrator also determines whether the user has permission to edit the content of each field or is restricted to view-only mode.

If you need to modify the content of certain fields that appear as view-only, please contact your system administrator. They can adjust the permissions and restrictions set in your user profile.

The system administrator may also grant you access to other information that you might need, with or without editing rights. These decisions are entirely up to your organization.
