Before you can start using the deposit functions, you must first create:
- A deposit-type category
- A deposit product
Click on Sales > Configurations > Configurations.
Under the section Product used for deposits and progressive billing, click on the blue magnifying glass.
Search for the deposit product you created and select it.
Scroll to the bottom of the Sales Configurations page and click Save.
Click on Sales > Configurations > Point of Sale Steps > Deposit.
A new window will open. Go to the Options tab.
Make sure that only the following two options are checked:
- Assign automatically when a deposit is created on the estimate;
- Reserve the inventory of the sale when it is at this stage.
* This means that when you apply a deposit to a part or another item, that item will be reserved in the inventory for the related estimate. *
Click on Save.
