Making appointments based on traffic levels at the garage is important for several reasons, as it helps to optimize operations, enhancing the client experience, and improving the overall efficiency. Here are some key reasons why considering traffic levels is beneficial:

  • Optimal resource allocation: by scheduling appointments based on traffic levels, a garage can allocate its resources more efficiently. This includes managing the number of mechanics, service bays, and support staff available during peak times and scaling down during slower periods. This ensures that the garage operates at its maximum capacity when needed and avoids unnecessary idle time.

  • Reduced client wait times: A well-organized appointment system helps in minimizing client wait times. If appointments are evenly distributed throughout the day, clients are less likely to experience long queues or delays in service. This contributes to a positive client experience, as clients appreciate prompt and timely service.

In the Point of sale, click F9 or select the Calendar icon at the bottom left of the screen. 

Select the blue Calendar button at the top left of the screen. 

The monthly calendar will show up. It is possible to observe the traffic levels with the help of the colour code. By default, if the days shows a blank space it has low traffic. 

If the traffic levels are not properly configured, you can adjust them according to your preferences. Simply go to Calendar > Configurations > Calendar Day Colors from the left menu. On this page, you will be able to adjust the traffic percentage thresholds and the colours associated with them.
