Understand the Dispatch Module

The dispatch module is a simplified view of the Bookings module. To access it, click on Transport > Dispatch.

At the top, you will find the list of uninvoiced bookings.

Clicking on one of them displays the corresponding details in the lower section.

1. General Transport Information

The first section (located two lines below the list) presents basic transport information:

• the client;
• the necessary equipment;
• and the goods to be transported.

This is also where you can assign a driver, truck, and trailer.

The button at the beginning of this line opens a module that allows you to select a driver based on their availability, which is determined by the system's bookings.

When you click on Choose Driver, you will see the following information on the next page:

• Carriers;
• Drivers;
• Trucks;
• Trailers;
• Stops;
• Info (cost and currency).

If a driver does not match the authorized dispatcher, the line will appear in red with the message: “Wrong dispatch.”

Next to the Save button, you will find the calculator. This calculator allows you to determine a price based on loading (linear length or weight), estimated hours or distance. You can also select nothing in the calculation method in order to enter the variables of your choice.

In the driver's Human Resources file, it is possible to restrict a driver's access to a specific dispatcher. To check this, click on Human Resources > Human Resources and select the driver whose access you wish to modify.

Then click on the Transportation tab and choose the dispatcher. Then click on Save.

2. Origin and Destination

The second section displays the booking's trip information:

• Origin;
• Destination;
• Notes;
• Tracking note;
• Confidential notes.

At the bottom of the page, in the lower left corner, near the Close button, you will find the following options:

• New;
• Calendar;
• Map;
• Assign multiple bookings to a driver;
• Print customer confirmation;
• Send carrier confirmation.

3. Additional Features

The dispatch module also offers an exclusive feature: a Calendar icon.

The calendar allows you to open the drivers' schedule and view their weekly schedules, past or future.
