First, create a specific category. Click Inventory > Categories > +Add.
On the Infos tab, enter the following information:
- Code
- Name
- Type
- Chart of accounts for sales (4001 - Parts Sales and Services )
- Chart of accounts for purchases (5001 - Purchase Parts and Services )
Click Save.
Next, click the Options tab and select the following options:
- Products in this category have no inventory (no value or quantity)
- Allow to modify the cost price during the sale
Click Save.
To create the product that will be placed on sale, click Inventory > Products and Services > +Add.
On the Infos tab, enter the following information:
- Code
- Name
- Category (998 - Client Parts Credit)
Click Save.
Next, open the Point of Sale and locate the sale to which you want to attach the note for the client. Please note that the quantities of the purchased items are positive.
Click the Actions > Reverse button, located at the bottom of the Point of Sale, next to the History button.
Click Yes.
Note that the quantities and amounts will now be negative.
Next, select the service and change the duration.
Select the parts and click Delete.
Click Yes.
Add the Credit Note product.
Next, enter the quantity and amount based on the part that has not yet been deleted from the sale.
Select the part and delete it.
Proceed to payment by clicking the green Payment button in the lower-right corner of the Point of Sale.
Select Receivables and enter the quantity as a negative number, since the system will not do this automatically. Then, click on Send.
To verify that the transaction was processed correctly, return to the Point of Sale and select the Checkout button.
Click Send.
Follow the step-by-step instructions and click Complete Checkout.
Complete the cash closing and click on Yes.
Go back to the Point of Sale and click the blue brush icon next to Client.
On the Info tab, click Statement in the lower-right corner.
Check the amounts and close the window.
Return to the Point of Sale, and to make the process clearer, you can copy the Message on invoice into the Title field so that it appears as additional information in your Estimate history.
You will have more information about the invoice in the title.
