Note: The Inspections Module is required.
Create a general product category for all inspections.
In the left menu, click Inventory > Categories > +Add.
Enter a Code. For example, enter INS. The Name could be inspection, job or whatever you want. The chart account for sales is usually 4101 - Service Sales. The chart account for purchases could be 5001 - Parts Purchases.
Create a Product & Services for Inspections
In the left menu, click on Inventory > Products and Services > +Add.
Enter a Code. For example, enter J9F. The Name could be “Front Brake Inspection. The category could be Job or Inspection. You can choose from the ones you have created.
Then, in the Calendar tab, you can add:
- Default time to run these jobs;
- Assign automatically to this bay when adding this job;
- Template to use when generating work orders.
Then click on Save.
