Enter an Invoice Amount Directly on the Stripe Terminal

This feature allows you to enter an invoice amount directly on the Stripe terminal to bill a client, while still retaining the ability to automatically send the amount from the Point of Sale to the terminal. Once enabled, the terminal operates in standalone mode, offering both entry methods depending on your business’s needs.

Procedure

On your Stripe account page, in the search bar, search for Terminal Locations to find the address of the Stripe terminal(s) associated with your account.

Next, on the Terminal page, under the Locations tab, click the location.

Scroll down to the Inherited configurations section and click the Override button next to Standalone mode.

Enter a name of your choice, such as Standalone mode, and click Add.

Next, click Enabled and then Update.

Confirm the changes when prompted.

Note: This step confirms the new settings applied to the terminal.

Wait 3 minutes before restarting the Stripe S700 terminal. After enabling standalone mode and waiting 3 minutes, you must press and hold the device button for a few seconds until the restart option appears, so you can select it. Once the terminal has restarted, it will be configured in Standalone Mode. You can use the terminal in two ways:

• Manually enter the invoice amount directly on the Stripe terminal.
• Send the invoice amount from the Point of Sale to the Stripe terminal to process the payment.

Important: Always wait about 3 minutes before restarting the terminal to ensure that the new configuration is properly applied.
